Alpha 2 / static publishing / signed accountability

PostSnail

A browser-only admin and open discovery ecosystem for creator-owned microblogs. Write locally, export a static site, host it for free, and publish a post-quantum signed fingerprint people can verify.

What

A tiny publishing stack that keeps the creator in charge.

PostSnail is an admin you open in the browser. Posts, images, encrypted Shell caches, encrypted workspace vaults, and encrypted publisher keys stay local. When you are ready, PostSnail exports a public Website ZIP with proof files and no required backend.

The generated blog can live on Surge or any static host. Forest is only a tracker: it verifies public proofs and indexes summaries so people can find you.

01

Local first

No login, no dashboard account, no private key upload. The admin runs in your browser.

02

Static by default

Publish plain files. Free hosts are enough because readers do not need a live app server.

03

Proof-aware

Exports include SHA3-512 digests, ML-DSA-65 signatures, and a bundle fingerprint.

04

Forest searchable

Register a public URL. Forest verifies the public metadata, then indexes compact summaries.

Why

The web needs small things that can still prove themselves.

A microblog should not disappear because a platform changes rules, pricing, ranking, or ownership. PostSnail makes the blog portable and the proof portable: the creator owns the files, the domain, and the signature trail.

Alpha 2 is still intentionally small, but now has the practical loop creators need: encrypted Shells, official bundled extensions, Surge publishing through a local bridge, Forest discovery, ShellNames, Pages, approved static comments, and direct CLI automation. It still does not become a hosted account platform, legal identity system, moderation authority, federation layer, or truth engine.
