Frontend Themes
Frontend themes declare public templates and assets for generated static pages, including home, post, archive, and tag templates.
Pages Integration
PostSnail Pages 1A uses the current built-in public shell and template slots for page and docs routes. Future Pages sprints can deepen template support without moving CMS state into Core.
Quiet Feed Default
The built-in quiet-feed frontend theme represents the current generated site style and is the fallback for old Shells.
Admin Themes
Admin themes are intentionally narrower. They may declare PostSnail CSS design tokens, but must not declare JavaScript runtime assets.
Shell Appearance State
Theme choices live in encrypted Shell appearance data with frontendTheme, adminTheme, and themeSettings.
Compatibility
Theme manifests follow requiredFeatures and optionalFeatures. Unknown optional theme data is ignored safely; unknown required theme features fail clearly.
