Official Bundled Plugin
PostSnail Comments uses the official plugin lifecycle. Enable postsnail-comments in Extensions to reveal the Comments tab.
Shell-Private Moderation
Approved comments, rejected comments, blocked author keys, and tracker URLs live in the encrypted Shell. Rejected moderation data never belongs in the public Website ZIP.
Public Export
When enabled, published post pages get a comments runtime plus approved-comments.json. Approved replies become part of the public static site.
Hybrid Model
Approved static comments are the official record. Future live tracker replies can remain separate without changing the creator-owned source of truth.
Signature Checks
Signed comment packets are meant to be verified locally before approval. PostSnail never sends the private signing key or Shell passphrase to a backend.
